The oldest hotel in England begins a new chapter...
Active Image  The Trevor Osborne Property Group and CP Holdings have acquired the Old Hall Hotel as a part of their long-term operational strategy.

As a part of their desire to ensure Buxton’s regeneration as a spa resort, the Trevor Osborne Property Group and CP Holdings have acquired the Old Hall Hotel as a part of their long-term operational strategy.  In the meantime, visitors to the Old Hall Hotel may notice one or two little changes over the next few months such as the upgrading of some of the bedrooms with the introduction of executive rooms, which will be wired for internet access and include other enhancements for the business and leisure traveller.

New additions will be made to restaurant and wine bar menus, prepared by the hotel’s leading chefs Jess Lath and Jay Hall. Afternoon teas will also be introduced in the hotel’s comfortable lounges. When it comes to management however, the Hotel’s new owners have decided to keep it firmly in the family.

As many guests already know, Sally Palmer and Emma Potter have been looking after visitors to the Old Hall for a number of years and there are no plans to change the hotel’s warm hospitality…the friendly and helpful staff are what makes the Old Hall Hotel a place people want to visit again and again.

The hotel will also be joining the celebrations for Bess of Hardwick’s Quarter-Centenary throughout the year, encouraging visitors to explore her influence in this part of England. The hotel was built by her 4th Husband, the Earl of Shrewsbury, to house Mary Queen of Scots on her visits to Buxton Spa.

The Old Hall Hotel will eventually be upgraded to a 4 star property and join the Danubius portfolio of hotels which will include the Crescent and the George.
